Working With Me
A Space to Be Seen, Heard, and Understood
If you’re looking for individual, couples and sex therapy in San Diego, you’re not alone.
From the outside, others may not see that you’re really struggling. You’re seen as capable, successful, and strong, someone who manages everything life throws your way. But beneath the surface, there’s more to the story.
There are parts of your life that don’t feel as effortless—especially when it comes to relationships, intimacy, and feeling truly connected to yourself and others.
Maybe you feel distant from your partner, disconnected from your desires, or unsure of how to move forward. You might wonder:
“Why does this feel so hard when I’ve figured out so much else in my life?”
If this resonates, you’re not alone. Many of my clients feel this way before they begin therapy. Often, it’s old wounds, ingrained patterns, or silent fears that keep us from the kind of closeness and confidence we want. And sometimes, it takes the right kind of support to help you move through the stuck places.
How Individual and Couples Therapy in San Diego Can Help
I specialize in helping individuals and couples understand what’s getting in the way of fulfillment and connection—whether that’s within your relationship, your intimate life, or your sense of self.
Through individual therapy, couples therapy and sex therapy, you’ll find a space where you can:
- Explore what’s been holding you back—without fear of judgment.
- Express your needs and desires with confidence and clarity.
- Heal the emotional blocks that may be affecting intimacy, trust, or connection.
- Learn practical strategies to create more fulfilling relationships and a deeper connection to yourself.
Therapy isn’t about focusing on what’s “wrong” with you. It’s about understanding yourself more deeply, breaking free from limiting patterns, and creating the kind of life and relationships that truly feel aligned with who you are.
My Approach: Thoughtful, Compassionate, and Results-Driven
As a licensed psychologist and certified sex therapist, I work with:
- Couples therapy – Helping partners navigate conflict, rebuild intimacy, and create a deeper connection.
- Sex therapy – Addressing challenges around desire, performance, and emotional connection.
- Individual therapy – Supporting self-discovery, emotional well-being, and personal transformation.
I believe therapy should be collaborative, practical, and tailored to your needs. We’ll work together to uncover what’s been holding you back and create a meaningful path forward—one that feels both empowering and actionable.
What If You Could…
- Let go of the stress, self-doubt, or confusion that’s been weighing you down.
- Communicate what you need with clarity and confidence.
- Experience intimacy and relationships that feel deeply connected and fulfilling.
- Trust yourself, your desires, and the direction your life is heading.
This kind of change is possible—and you don’t have to do it alone.

My job? It’s not to fix you (because you’re not broken!)—it’s to walk alongside you as we untangle the stress, the fear, and the self-doubt. Whether it’s anxiety that won’t quit, relationships that leave you feeling drained or stressed, sexual challenges, or just a sense that you’ve lost *you* somewhere along the way, we’ll work together to make things feel lighter, clearer, and more manageable.
What matters most is tailoring our work to fit *you* and your unique journey.
Dr. Zeising’s Sensitive and Optimistic Therapeutic Style
As a cancer survivor, I know firsthand how life’s challenges can shake your foundation. Facing uncertainty, adapting to changes, and navigating what comes next can feel overwhelming and lonely. My own experience has deepened my empathy and understanding of what it means to persevere—and has strengthened my commitment to helping others find their way forward.
When I’m not in the therapy chair, you can find me spending time hiking, exploring nature or planning my next trip with my partner. I believe in showing up as my authentic self so that you feel safe to do the same.
You deserve to feel fulfilled, confident, and deeply connected to the people and parts of life that matter most to you. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’m here to walk that path with you.

"My goal is to empower adults to live a more rich and fulfilling life. I am collaborative and interactive, helping individuals resolve self-limiting beliefs that lead to depression, despair and a sense of powerlessness and meaninglessness in life. I help individuals deepen their sense of self-acceptance by understanding and transforming the roots of depression, anxiety, shame, guilt, and anger. I work with couples to transform self-protective strategies that undermine the relationship and help them to resolve old fears and bitterness, rebuild trust, and risk vulnerability to create a deeper sense of intimacy. I help people see the possibility of what life can offer when self-exploration, healing and growth occur." -KRISTIN ZEISING, PSY.D
